I am a Software Engineer with over 20 years of total experience, most recently in Lead or Architect positions on Azure Cloud-Native application development projects with a particular focus on DevSecOps.I am currently an Application Architect for a hospitality client on an effort to rewrite a monolithic java application to a microservice based solution using all PaaS technologies (.NET Core with Azure App Services, Function Apps, Azure SQL, Service Bus, and Event Hubs).I was the Cloud Solution Architect for an effort to migrate a government client’s manually configured SharePoint 2013 IaaS platform to SharePoint 2019 using a fully Infrastructure as Code solution with ARM Templates and Azure Automation using PowerShell Desired State Configuration, deployed to an IL-5 compliant environment in Azure Government.I was a Cloud Architect for several cloud migration efforts for another government client, migrating on premise .NET web applications running in IIS into Azure Web Apps in IL-4 and IL-5 compliant environments in Azure Government.For a Department of Energy client, I was the architect and lead developer on an Angular front end with ASP.NET core back end project built on top of Azure PaaS services with CI/CD using Azure Pipelines.In addition to my normal project work, I have been involved in efforts to strengthen the overall DevSecOps opinionated guidance for the entire company.
