In-house Counsel to a team of 40 property professionals managing RBS'​ £1.2 billion West Register property portfolio.Directed one of the UK's largest Real Estate asset disposal programmes and personally responsible for £475 million of property sales including:The sale of the Bank's directly owned residential investment portfolio (1,482 units across England, Wales and Scotland) for £156 million;The disposal of a Central London office block for £60.6 million;The sale of The Hanningtons Estate, Brighton (a mixed use retail, office and residential development including part of The Brighton Lanes) for £56.6 million;The sale of The Richmond Shopping Centre, Londonderry for £19.7 million;The sale of part of Fairoaks Airport for £18.5 million; andThe sale of Great Leighs Racecourse for £7 million. Significantly enhanced the value of the portfolio by delivering a number of key asset management initiatives including: Negotiating agreements with Transport Scotland and Balfour Beatty to construct Scotland's first privately funded motorway junction (Junction 4A on the M8). This unlocked the development of 5,000 new homes and 1.5 million square feet of mixed use commercial space; Leading the business in High Court proceedings to enforce a put option and representing the business at mediations;Negotiating development agreements for a new Lane in The Brighton Lanes; andDocumenting a rights of light settlement with the developer of The Scalpel in Central London.Heavily involved in assembling the West Register portfolio at the height of the financial crisis, by directing the acquisition of 90 properties including:A portfolio of 11 commercial assets to support RBS' £160 million re-financing of a major UK Corporate;A portfolio of 29 commercial assets in Cardiff and Swansea for £73.4 million (through a pre-pack receivership with only three weeks to complete due diligence); andA 155 acre residential development site in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland.

The joint venture vehicle acquired eleven live music and entertainment venues including the Hammersmith Apollo;Advising a German Bank on the acquisition, bridge financing and long term re-financing of office premises in Bristol for £31 million;Advising ING's Britannica Fund on all legal matters arising at The Gates Shopping Centre, Durham; andAdvising Threadneedle on the legal management of various funds, including responsibility for the disposal of Zurich Assurance Limited's residential portfolio.
