In this role, I line manage a team of 35 project managers covering bid delivery for transitional and transformational projects with revenues of more than £50m. Streamlining the setting of objectives, I also develop the needs, training, stakeholder management, and deliver projects on time and budget. Responsible for internal PMO control, I handle all project and management information, standards and processes, reporting, and the management of risks and issues and in charge of maintaining a minimum 25% margin for project activities. As the Head of Projects, I★ maintained an average of 30% margin on all projects and grew team sizes to meet project demands;★ ensured regular monitoring of PM requirements to recruit effectively and gain future Board approval;★ adeptly replaced the Microsoft SharePoint with ServiceNow for reports and requests across the UK;★ ably led the adoption of STF internal hybrid project methodology for all PMs;★ created internal SharePoint PM Community Portal for processes, template, and reporting information;★ gained approval for several project manager promotions based on effective delivery of objectives;★ streamlined operations from sales to delivery transitions, project delivery, and service tower team sign-offs;★ implemented a new E2E process and engagement model for all work requests in BAU contracts;★ precisely allocated time and costs via new recording standards and SAP time-limiting.

For this programme, I managed part of the QBE Transformation, a critical client-facing role. I deftly organised client stakeholder management, supervised three PMs and an internal team of 12 technical staff, and third parties with formal work orders. Overseeing Indian off-shore resources and all project and programme risks and issues, I also managed finances and all of the Data Centre activities including ITIL change management.Programme: The project team created and delivered a new W7 SOE, installed a new SCCM 2012 and App-V v5 environment with associated SQL 2012 back-end. Implemented a new VDS service based on Citrix 7 using VCE Vblock infrastructure and on-boarded approximately 4000 users. We also delivered a Windows 7 core build including an upgrade to MS Office 2013; upgraded an Exchange 2007 to 2013 using new server infrastructure in Co-Lo Data Centres with 6000 personal and shared mailboxes. The team installed a new email perimeter gateway solution using a Cisco Iron port solution; and upgraded QBE’s mobile Good Data Management services and an EVault Cloud PST storage facility, all within a budget of £1.7M.As Programme Manager, I★ created and maintained vital stakeholder relationships and provided a Stakeholder Management Plan;★ met revenue expectations via negotiating critical milestone payments;★ adeptly realised a 40% margin through control of resources and the time booked in the cost model;★ increased revenue by approximately £315K using Programme Change Governance to identify new business;★ installed a Windows 7 64bit and 32bit SOE Gold builds, SQL2012 cluster, SCCM and App-V V5 environments;★ delivered an interim state VDS service, extending the QBE VDS service to the new Vblock infrastructure by CSC, and a new strategic VDS service with the latest versions of Citrix and VMWare.

Set up an entirely controlled pre-production environment with a new and upgraded SCCM, Nomad, Lumension, e-PO, and BE Crypt management toolsets; installed the Quest Migration Manager for migrating resources between the 2003 Legacy AD and the new AD2012. I delivered a Windows 7 core build including an upgrade to MS Office 2010; an in-place upgrade to Exchange 2013 for 6000 mailbox users;As Programme Manager, I★ created a Stakeholder Management Plan and maintained vital stakeholder relationships; negotiated crucial milestone payments to ensure revenue expectations;★ achievement of 45% margin through control of resources and time booked against the cost model; increased revenue almost £250K via Programme Change Governance and new business identification;★ successfully installed Windows 7 64bit and 32bit SOE Gold builds, SQL2012 cluster, and SCCM and App-V V5 environments and the latest versions of Citrix and VMWare VDS services using Vblock technology;★ constructed and configured pre-production and production server environments; installed physical Data Centre; tested the Quest Migration Manager; upgraded the Good Mobile Data Management service; and implemented an Iron Port Web filtering solution; ★ successfully migrated resources from Legacy AD to new AD2012; packaged and tested all required business applications; reached an agreement with the client on Future State Definition.

Programme: The team delivered a Windows Active Directory 2012 for one of the CSC-supported estates for HM Passport Office, a pre-requisite for deployment of MyWorkStyle with a budget of around £350k and bid on a client consultancy to feed into an initial scoping of a significant migration from to Windows 7, an upgrade to Active Directory 2012, and the deployment of 3000+ new desktops and testing of all HM Passport Office’ business applications.As Programme Manager, I★ delivered a new scanner and desktop PC equipment and updates to the scanning application for HM Passport Office with a budget of around £300K;★ effectively deployed IE8 estate-wide including an agreement for 400+ security settings in the new IE8 Group Policy plus testing and deployment with a budget of approximately £100K;★ completed Liverpool office closure and the relocation of staff and equipment to Greater Manchester successfully and promptly, saving additional lease fees of c£200k; ★ supervised new infrastructure cabling, network infrastructure, key server relocations, stakeholders, the facilities management team, and providing services.
