Provided instruction in certified Red Cross courses. Served on after hours Disaster Action Team (DAT). Responded to multiple disaster events (most recent Hurricane Idalia and East Texas Tornado).

• Provide overall strategic and programmatic direction for the Public Health region’s program efforts.• Give direction and oversight for regional administration, including budget, human resources, and regional assets.• Provide leadership and comprehensive management of public health services including planning, implementation, supervision, and monitoring of all operational activities of the region.• Deliver daily leadership to regional teams, facilitating meetings and communicating with internal and external public health partners.• Develop, review, approves policies, procedures, and other official documents.

• Provide overall leadership, strategic direction and management of the Preparedness and Response program and regional Epidemiology section.• Hire, manage and supervise staff in daily operational activities to cover a 35 county Region.• Develop and review budgets, funding proposals, policies, contracts, and interagency agreements.• Direct planning, development, and evaluation of All-hazard ESF-8 plans of region and for cities and counties not served by a local health department.• Work with Regional, State, and Federal partners in planning for and responding to All-hazard events.• Organize and manage just in time deployable teams, training, coaching, and deployment.• Co- team lead for one of four deployable teams for State agency.

Develop and evaluate regional response plans and standard operation procedures to respond to All-hazard events.Initiate and coordinate with City, County, State, Emergency Management to plan for health, medical, and public health hazard events.Participate on a team to conduct quality assurance reviews on Preparedness contracts with Regional Health Departments and Hospital Preparedness partners.Lead in implementation of the Regional Operations Center during a hazard event.Responsible for management and oversight of inventory and warehouse for preparedness and response.
