David has over 35 years experience in investment banking, commencing his career in Perth as a stockbroker in 1985. He transferred to the United Kingdom in 1991 at the age of 25 and worked in institutional sales for Australian equities, initially with James Capel & Co and then for BZW, the investment banking arm of Barclays Bank. In 1998 this business was purchased by ABN AMRO and David remained in London until 2001 when he was the head of the equities desk.On his return to Australia, he was appointed an Executive Director at the bank and ran global equity sales for the Australian business. Since his departure in mid-2004, David has run his own corporate finance businesses under two banners including a brief period with an international bank. He is currently working in the role of Corporate Advisory and Equity Capital with Petra Capital Limited.David has a strong knowledge of share markets and mining equities having grown up broking in Western Australia and taking European institutional investors on several mining tours during his 10 years there.David is engaged in the role of Corporate Advisory and Equity Capital at Petra Capital, is a Member of the Stockbrokers Association of Australia, The Securities and Futures Authority (UK), is a Responsible Executive of the ASX and a graduate of the Securities Institute of Australia. He studied Business at Edith Cowan University in WA and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
