About David Wilcox

Passion for, and background in, education, advocacy, nonprofit, leadership, and professional development. Background and specialties: Project development and execution, facilitation, curriculum writing, youth development, marketing and branding, event planning, outreach, digital media design, videography, photography, and writing. From late 2017 through late 2018 I traveled through ten different countries across four continents, exploring cultural traditions and landscapes and listening to stories. I believe that visual storytelling is one of the most powerful ways to make an impact.

    The Leadership Academy at Lemonade is designed to equip internal leadership candidates with applicable skills and behaviors to further them professionally and advance their career. Concurrently as a CX Trainer, I helped strategically build out and deliver a six-month pilot program beginning in the summer of 2022, launching in August with 12 participants and coming to a close in early 2023. Academy components include business projects, leadership courses and follow-up assignments, a mentorship program, a book club, and more. Participants grew in areas like business insight, project management, self-awareness, driving results, and building effective teams.After the success of the pilot program, and with support and passion from senior leadership at the company, a second cohort launched in 2023. Twelve participants were selected from a pool of 27 high-potential employees. I also facilitated the launching of an Academy for Lemonade's European business team, with four employees going through the program. The Leadership Academy will continue to scale and focus on leadership development in 2024 and beyond.
