Responsibilities include:• Insure all responders certifications and records are maintained in a variety of databases, including state and federal certifying agencies, and make sure all training records are accurately recorded and available.• Develop and implement training that meets the criteria for renewing and maintaining State of Colorado DFPC certifications. • Develop and implement training to meet the needs of the district and it's responders including driving & engineering programs, probationary member development, incident management, crew resource management and more.• Work with the county transport agency to provide in-house emergency medical training for our EMT, EMRs and Paramedics.• Work with mutual-aid agencies to provide large scale incident trainings and opportunities for collaboration and cooperation.• Work with our officer core to drive engagement and insure the mission and needs of the department are met.

Lefthand Fire is an all-hazards, combination paid & volunteer, fire protection district covering 52 square miles of suburban and rural Colorado. We have a mix of interface communities, intermix and wilderness spanning two a wide range of elevation and fuel models. Our district has steep two lane highways, recreational vehicle and cycling traffic. We have extensive county-wide mutual aid agreements, and run approximately 200 calls a year, protecting over 2000 citizens.My qualifications include:• State of Colorado FFI & FFII Structural Firefighter• State of Colorado Fire Instructor I and Driver Operator Utility• State of Colorado HazMat Operations • National Registry and State of Colorado EMT• ENGB & ICT5 with local and national experienceAs a rural / suburban mostly volunteer department we all take turns maintaining department assets including vehicles and stations. We run calls from home and the station and set the example to the community and to our newer responders on professionalism and service in all situations.In my tenure with Lefthand we have been at the forefront of several local large incidents including:• The Middle Fork and Marshall Fires December 31, 2021, large scale wind-driven disasters on the Front Range.• The Cal-Wood Fire of 2020, 23 home lost in our district and the largest fire by acreage in Boulder County.• The Cold Springs Fire of 2016, 8 homes lost in Nederland, CO, we were part of the initial response.• Boulder County Floods of 2013, myself and several responders were trapped in and managed the response in the town of Jamestown, CO, which suffered one civilian casualty and lost 30% of the homes in town.• The Fourmile Canyon fire of 2010, a 6,000 + acre wildland fire which burned over 140 homes in the first operational period.

Mike's Camera is a big small company, family owned and operated for over 50 years and based in my hometown of Boulder, Colorado. In my tenure here we have gone from three retail camera stores with photo labs to ten locations across two states offering a wide variety of services. We have thrived in a shrinking industry by providing an exceptional customer experience. Development of services is my primary responsibility. My job duties include:• Maintain, repair and replace photo processing equipment as needed.• Hire, train & develop personnel to perform a variety of photo and imaging services, including photo printing, finishing, scanning, signage and more.• Advise on capital purchases including systemic technological changes such as web platform and in-store kiosks, and oversee implementation.• Actively seek compelling new services to develop as revenue streams for our small chain brick & mortar / web store experience.• Develop leadership within the company who can bring our culture to the customer and staff every day.• Market all of our services, through all channels including print, digital, social media and email. I am ultimately responsible for development of our marketing campaigns for photo services.• Manage our inventory supply chain and warehouse of supplies for photo processing services, including packaging, chemistry and more. I procure the best quality products that fit our market for the best prices we can negotiate.• Administer and execute OSHA HazCom safety training for all positions, including chemistry handling.

I began working at Mike's Camera in 1999 as a Photo Lab Technician, at the end of the highest point in traditional film and developing services. I was promoted to Lab Manager in 2003 and worked in that capacity until 2012, at which time we acquired nine new stores across two states. My job evolved into a district management position, with a focus on the lab, until it formally became an executive position in 2018.

Jamestown, Colorado

I volunteered as a wildland firefighter and EMT-Basic. I responded to large and small wildland fire calls and served on hand crew lines and type 6 engines for the department. We did structural protection, burnout operations, direct attack handline construction and mop up operations in a rugged wildland interface environment. I also responded to medical calls for the department, constructed the departments website and was responsible for inventory of PPE and tools.
