In addition to the usual editorial tasks (copy editing and subbing), I contract with freelancers on behalf of Kelsey's backpacking and hillwalking title to commission feature stories and outdoor equipment reviews. I also manage the review team. In my first year as 'contributing editor' I established new systems for scheduling outdoor equipment reviews, feature commissioning and payments, and recruited a new, evenly gender split team on the reviews side.

Managed social media channels, plus press and media queries for UK environmental NGO The John Muir Trust. Increased 'followers' by 17% in 2 years, wrote proactive and reactive press releases and was the writer/editor for a major website overhaul.
