Currently helping with a project to migrate computers and users to a new domain at a manufacturer in Oshkosh that was recently acquired by another well known manufacturer in the same industry. Image computers using SCCM, configure computers after imaging for specific users by loading software and settings. Prepare computers and related equipment to be shipped to remote users. Contact remote users to arrange return shipping of computers. Troubleshoot application issues.

Assist with help desk calls, desktop support (diagnosing problems, replacing parts and ordering warranty service), imaging of PCs using SCCM, data recovery and assist with servicing customers (answering questions and routing calls) after new system upgrades.

Assisted with desktop support. Performed automated computer builds on desktop, notebook, tablet and workstation PCs. Pushed software to computers using SCCM. Maintained laser printers. Documentation. Set up work stations for new hires. Researched, tested and installed conference equipment including projectors and wireless HDMI devices.

I was hired as a temporary, part-time intern in IT. I have had the opportunity to learn a great deal about the workings of an IT department. Primarily, I was tasked with setting up new and re-purposed computers for new users, managing backups of data, helping users with day to day issues involving computers, printers, applications and connectivity.

I processed orders for assembly areas, delivering parts as needed, and prepared parts kits for shipment. Occasionally I was called upon to do material handling, loading and unloading semi-trailers with a forklift. I often worked with Oracle and Telnet, looking up and issuing parts.

I set up and operated a Vertical Machining Center (VMC). I worked with many different materials including aluminum, cast iron, steel, stainless steel and occasionally, titanium. I edited G/M code programs and sometimes wrote simple programs. I performed all inspections of parts using micrometers and calipers. I read blueprints and made parts to tight tolerances.

Machined parts as small as planetary gears and as large as axle housings, both cast iron and steel on a variety of machines, including semi-manual lathes and gear shapers, to large CNC horizontal machining centers.I also trained several fellow employees to operate machines.

My final two years at Hydraulics, Inc. (formerly Brake Parts Company-owned by Echlin at the time) were as a quality control inspector. My duties included first-piece and in-process inspection of brake rotors and drums using coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and various hand-held digital precision measuring tools.Prior to that, I was a CNC and semi-manual machinist. In the machining capacity, I trained several new employees to operate machines. I was also a member of a continuous improvement team.

After five months of being out of the active duty military, I decided to join the WI Army National Guard. I had some wonderful experiences with this organization, including a three week deployment to (at that time) West Germany and Primary Leadership Development Course in Nebraska, what the Marine Corps would call NCO school.My fellow soldiers/guardsmen were dedicated, hard-working guys who were a pleasure to have known. The training was first-rate and I have nothing but utmost respect and appreciation for the organization as a whole.

After attending Boot Camp at MCRD-San Diego, CA, and Infantry Training School at Camp Pendleton, CA, I served for 15 months at Marine Barracks, Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, CA.Following the Marine Barracks duty, I served for six months as a grenadier in an infantry platoon with 1st Battalion, 5th Marines at Camp Pendleton. The final two years of my tour of duty were served in STA (Surveillance and Target Aquisition) platoon 1/5, as a sniper-observer (NOT a sniper, as I did not attend sniper school).For six months, I was overseas to Okinawa, Japan and South Korea. I also attended the US Army Jungle Warfare School in Panama for three weeks.I am very grateful to have been afforded the opportunity to serve my country and my fellow Marines and I salute those who currently go in harms way on a daily basis on our behalf!
