Leading all aspects of the creation and development of an exciting new globally competitive supply chain to support module and battery assembly manufacturing for Hyperbat in the UK.

Providing senior leadership to both Business Development and Purchasing teams to meet and exceed our customers requirements for Unipart Powertrain Applications.

In this role my primary responsibilities were to restructure and organise the existing department to ensure that priorities were clearly focused on and delivered. The culmination of this role was the award of a significant OEM contract to supply PHEV stainless steel fuel tanks.

My direct responsibilities were for setting strategic direction for the supply chain and delivering against our Purchasing targets whilst supporting the Business Development team, taking a lead in all commercial contractual negotiations.

The combined role of Purchasing & STA ensured the closer working of these two teams to deliver world class supplier performance to the business. The STA team have reported to me on two other previous occasions during my career at Unipart and is in my opinion a key function to delivering right first time products to the organisation.

The Purchasing and Logistics team always work very closely together and the creation of this role enabled me to build upon that relationship to ensure our supply chain met and exceeded our internally KPI's.

A pure focus on leading the Purchasing team to set strategy, develop and grow key supplier relationships and deliver year on year commercial benefit to the business.

Working as the deputy to the Purchasing Manager and taking line management responsibility for all other members of the Purchasing and Material Planning depart.

Lead all supply chain activity for raw material and tubular steel product in the business.

Lead all supply chain responsibility for presswork, forged & machined components and hanger bars

Responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of a resource of a major presswork supplier with over 200 individual components.
