Graduate research assistant in the Sensing in Biomechanical Processes Lab (SiMPl) at the University of British Columbia working with athlete populations to validate wearable sensors and characterize head impact biomechanics in on-field sports settings.• Worked with over 100 UBC varsity athletes in a longitudinal investigation of concussive and subconcussive mild traumatic brain injury mechanisms in ice hockey and rugby• Used analytical models (MATLAB, Python) to assess mouthguard sensor performance and data quality• Applied simulated (deep learning) models to characterize injury risk and outcome from head impacts• Recruited and managed over 25 research assistants in filming, device handling, and data analysis roles
