Support development of software predicting nuclear weapon effects.

Supervised small groups of senior physics students in the Modern Physics Laboratory II course at the University of Notre Dame. Provided guidance to students during experiment design and assembly, oversaw data analysis, and offered technical writing assistance. Further refined my mastery of experimental nuclear physics techniques (including spectroscopy and vacuum systems) and laboratory operations.

Organized and led a weekly calculus help session for first-year physics majors at the University of Notre Dame. Topics for these sessions included the applications of differential and integral calculus to classical mechanics and electromagnetism. Effectively communicated mathematical concepts and relayed information between the primary instructor and the students.

Provided struggling undergraduate calculus students with intensive academic help. Duties included meeting weekly with seven students in order to remedy deficient calculus skills and to design and implement effective study plans. Highly independent work; only occasionally checked in with my supervisor to report on the students’ progress. All scheduling and preparation was entirely my responsibility.

Organized and led four weekly help sessions for first-year calculus and physics students at the University of Notre Dame. Prepared material before each session, effectively communicated advanced topics to struggling students, and adapted teaching style to individual students’ needs.

Optimized Mathematica software to calculate the energetics of nuclear reactions as part of Professor Maxime Brodeur's high-precision mass measurement experiments. Familiarized myself with the daily operations of a nuclear physics laboratory.
