As Executive Digital Producer at KENS 5 News in the Alamo City, I manage and oversee the envisioning, creation and implementation of KENS 5’s digital priorities, in the effort to keep the standard of online content in line with that of on-air content. At the same time, I cover San Antonio’s arts and culture scene for KENS5.com, writing stories contextualizing the latest trends being pursued by local artists, the stories reflected by their work and the issues they’re facing. In addition, I write weekly film reviews for the website, having been a member of the Critics Choice Association since 2020. Before KENS, I worked in a similar digital role at KOB in Albuquerque, New Mexico, writing breaking news as well as playing an integral part in creating the station’s first ever podcast—helping to report, write and produce “Backstory,” focusing on the state’s history of priest abuse. Before KOB, I worked as a news reporter, news editor, managing editor and then editor-in-chief of the NM Daily Lobo, the independent student newspaper of the University of New Mexico, where I covered mostly student government and the Board of Regents, along with a mix of other general assignments.
