From 2012 to 2017, I served as an active-duty Airframe Technician on the F/A-18 Legacy platform. In the final years of my enlistment, I transitioned to a role as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI), where I was responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of aircraft maintenance in accordance with Naval Air Systems Command standards.Following my military service, I pursued cybersecurity studies at both Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) from 2017 to 2019 and University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) from 2019 to 2020. Both institutions are recognized as Academic Centers of Excellence for Cybersecurity by the NSA. At AACC, I focused on fundamental concepts such as operating systems, computer networking, network defense, and offensive security. My studies at UMGC further deepened my knowledge, particularly in areas related to Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the governance of effective cybersecurity programs. My current role can be described as an Ethical Hacker as I conduct security evaluations on diverse range of devices, seeking out vulnerable configurations in software primarily. I assess the risks these vulnerabilities pose to our customers' solutions. Additionally, I take on consulting responsibilities, working closely with customers to understand their objectives and technology goals. This understanding allows me to formulate a scoped approach that targets potential risks across various layers, ensuring their mission remains secure.
