Institutional Asset Management professional with 26+ years of asset management experience. David is currently a member of the Core Equity team in the Investment Management Group at TIAA. Primary sector responsibilities are the Healthcare and Financials sectors.-Former member of U.S. Large Cap Growth team at Manulife portfolio management team, David was an integral part of the decision making for the strategy. The team was responsible for the John Hancock Strategic Growth Fund (JSGIX). The team operated as sector generalists but David's primary focus is the consumer sector vertical. He was responsible for equity selection including financial modeling and valuation analysis. Secondary focus included implementation and review of the strategy’s quantitative model along with portfolio construction/risk management oversight. In addition to creating and implementing workflow implementation tools for the strategy David was the Consumer Sector Leader for the Global Equity Research Initiative in 2013-14 for Manulife Asset Management. The team also had management responsibility for a concentrated equity strategy which is designed to leverage the strong track record of alpha generation that has been driven by stock selection. David also performed marketing and new business presentations.- As a member of the Wells Fargo Large Cap Growth strategy while at Wells Capital Management, David provided fundamental analysis, quantitative research and along with portfolio construction/risk management oversight to the senior portfolio manager. David also performed client presentations along with consultant and new business presentations. David joined the strategy in 1998.- As a portfolio manager for First Investment Advisors David was responsible for asset allocation and equity decisions for the First Union’s high net worth clients.
