First Sergeant (Senior Logistics Manager)
Current- First Sergeant of a 180 Soldier Headquarters Support Company consisting of Ground Maintenance Platoon, Medical Platoon, Field Feeding Section, and Battalion Staff Sections capable of deploying within 96 hours to support the Global Response Force (GRF) and Overseas Contingency Operations.- Accountable for the professional development, supervision and evaluation of all Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) and Soldiers.- Accountable for the timeliness and accuracy of all administrative actions.- Accountable for ensuring a high state of Unit combat readiness through the development and implementation of a demanding training program and Family Readiness Group (FRG) program.- Supervised supply discipline and readiness of property valued more than $20 million.- Supported Equal Opportunity (EO), Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP), and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs.- Incorporated a highly improved administrative processing system which effectively streamlining more than 400 Soldier actions.- Maximized the use or automation to reduce workload.- Implemented new procedures adapted by the Unit for administrative processing.- Utilized leadership and communication abilities to foster growth throughout the Brigade S4 section.- Effectively built relationships and communicated training and events which resulting in a 60% increase in participation.- Trained two personnel and created several training products to enhance Unit administrative effectiveness.- Regularly communicated successful procedures and used appropriate influence techniques to motivate others.- Built relationships and coordinated with outside Units to fill equipment and training gaps enabling two successful Battalion Field Training Exercises (FTXs).
