As part of the Overseas Development Institute Fellowship scheme, I was a technical assistant in the research department of the Zambian Revenue Authority.I focused on building expertise in mining taxation and provided: - in-depth analysis using modelling and statistical techniques; and - short-term responses to internal management, national government and global institution research requests.I undertook further investigation into policy issues across the whole economy both at the macro level and sectorally.Finally, I developed and maintained large-scale databases, models and other quantitative tools to support internal tax audit operations.
