In addition to being an Advisor for the major, I oversee the FTVM undergraduate curriculum and the Global Media Studies Minor. This includes being the Chair of the Undergraduate Committee and a member of the Executive Committee within our Department.

As a Lecturer IV I teach a variety of classes in motion picture production and post production including: Intro to Media Production, Editing Theory and Practice, Topics in Avant Garde Film, Documentary I, Screenwriting and Production Workshop, Trailer Editing and Video Editing and the Avant Garde. In addition, I serve on a multiple Departmental committees and oversee students on Internships and Honors projects.

As the Summer Director of the Motion Picture Arts Department I was responsible for teaching 3 video production classes, day-to-day administration of the department with a faculty and staff of 12 and as many as 53 students, as well as recruitment, departmental tours, handling visiting artists, weekly Arts Directors and departmental meetings, as well as organizing student screenings and off campus trips including the Traverse City Film Festival.

Initially I was brought to Interlochen as a Filmmaker In Residence for the 2012 Fall semester. Towards the end of that semester I was asked to return as a Visiting Filmmaker for the Spring '13 semester. As Visiting Filmmaker, I participate as an instructor in 3 classes including a class of my own design on the exploration of a Transcendental Style in Cinema. I also participate in department meetings and am a Thesis Adviser for a handful of students.
