David is currently in-house counsel with Kioxia America. David was previously an Associate with White & Case's and Allen and Overy's Intellectual Property practices. David is a member of the Virginia, District of Columbia, and Patent Bars.David primarily focuses on managing Kioxia's patent portfolio, but is involved with all aspects on Kioxia's intellectual property needs.During his time with White & Case and Allen and Overy, David specialized in all aspects of patent. David's experiences include patent prosecution, patent litigation, ITC Section 337 Investigations. Additionally, David has worked with clients to help them amicably resolve patent disputes prior to litigation. David also worked with the Banking Finance practice where he focuses on Open Source Software licenses, but is always ready dive into any intellectual property issue that may arise to help ensure White & Case's and Allen & Overy's clients are fully appraised of transactional risks. Prior to joining White & Case full-time, David attend the University of Virginia School of Law where he served as both Managing and Technological Editor of the award winning Virginia Law Weekly. While attending law school, David spent a summer at Quixey as an Intellectual Property Intern, which inspired a deep passion for in-house work.Before attending the University of Virginia, David studied at James Madison University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Computer Science (much to the confusion of numerous faculty members from both departments).Throughout his formative years at university, David became an active member of the Jewish community and has held leadership positions within Hillel, Chabad, the Jewish Law Student's Association and the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity.Outside of his legal career, David has always had a passion for history. David has worked as a field archeologist on numerous sites ranging from Thomas Jefferson's Monticello to Civil War battlefield and Classical Roman fort towns in Israel. Currently, David's histrocial curiosity is sated through numerous podcast and two car restoration projects.David's other hobbies include the pain and misery of Washington Sports, photography, video games, craft beer, and the pursuit of the perfect keyboard.
