Manager helping BFS warehousing operations in multiple locations as they encounter a time of growth. Evaluate facilities to help maximize storage capacity and operational efficiency. Help coordinate order processes with customers, routings, bids, evaluate freight rates. Coordinate start up operations for local distributors, and other customers who have special requirements and processes or face seasonal challenges in their operations in the Dallas Ft. Worth Area. Managed 250,000 sq. feet of warehousing locally and was responsible for 4 offsite shipping locations including a Montreal Canada facility. Coordinated 600 import containers annually. Responsible for all material movement from vendor (raw material) to customer as finished good. Managed the Receiving, Raw Material, and Finished good departments. Set up all carrier contracts and negotiated rates to continue to achieve costs savings in the freight arena. Implemented a core carrier program with vendors and developed routing matrix for our customer orders. Created budgets and was accountable for the numbers in the departments I oversaw. I established policies and procedures for all processes within my departments. I was responsible for hiring and developing training for up to 40 positions under my supervision. I managed a variety of projects during my time at Beckett, from racking configurations and installations designed to achieve maximum efficiencies in the handling of material, to offsite warehousing management and an entire warehouse move to a larger facility. I served as safety committee manager implementing Becketts safety programming and overseeing safety meetings and was an OSHA certified Train the Trainer in our in house forklift training program. My lists of achievements and successful programs implemented is to lengthy to list on a simple resume, but rest assured I was ever looking for and implementing ideas to help my company continually improve and reduce costs in every area we possibly could.
