Work with the general public, contractors, engineers and architects and the local fire districts on commercial and residential projects. Developed strong working relationships with the internal customers, the building division, county engineering division, and the permitting section. Maintained a portion of the counties permit data base and project files. Supported the field staff, inspectors and fire investigators with project revisions and code inquiries. Worked as a permit tech, at the permit counter helping applicants with submittals.

Pierce County Washington

Worked in the out-lying areas of the county. Responsible for all construction activities in my assigned area of the county, from footing to final inspection. Conducting code compliance investigations for construction without permits. Also worked as a plans examiner when needed to relive backlog of permits. Hurricane Katrina 2005, I was assigned to the state of Mississippi for two weeks to help with the hurricane relief efforts for samll town governments of the gulf coast. Conducted rapid assessments of damaged structures, issued permits for the reconstruction of the structures that could be saved.
