Wattisham

In the last 2 years, I have managed and lead an extremely busy department of 170 personnel, responsible for the HR and logistic support to an organisation of 600 personnel. Primarily answerable to the head of the organisation for the Training departments, Administrative support, Health & Safety, Human Resources, Travel, Logistic support, Transport, and Infrastructure. Monitoring of a Facilities Management budget in excess of £500K and the co-ordination of quarterly and annual audit management reports.

Wattisham Airfield

Responsible for the delivery of a multi-million-pound infrastructure refurbishment programme of an airfield. Key customer representative with Defence Estates and contractors Babcock and Haymills to ensure timelines, budgets were reviewed. Through these meeting, we were able to review the process to ensure the projects were delivered on time and within budget.• Advised the Director on project priorities, timelines and budget constraints that enabled him to prioritise the refurbishment programme in accordance with his strategic plan for the airfield.• The morale component for those working and deploying from the airfield was greatly improved with enhanced and modern working conditions and state of the art welfare facilities for individuals and families.• Produced regular reports and verbal briefings to director level on the progress of the projects including costing so far, timelines and risks to the overall strategic infrastructure plan.AchievementThe delivery of off-site facilities such as the £.5m welfare facility and securing funding and planning permission for £.75m childcare facility, this combined with the provision new headquarters and learning and development facilities.
