During my time working with the Hunter Valley & NSW operations, I was charged with delivering engineering requirements across 6 operations and indirectly supporting another 2 sites. In this position I was given the freedom to investigate, analyse and develop strategies to increase component life and assist sites in improving performance across multiple areas. I was also heavily involved with the initiation of Otraco's largest service contract to-date on the Australian East Coast. During this time I worked as the Interim Site Manager and led the takeover of the MTW tyre servicing operation.I was able to build robust relationships with project stakeholders, which in turn led to the successful delivery of project objectives, increases in component life, improvements to efficiencies, and cost savings. -
Project EngineerOtraco International Pty Ltd May 2018 - Dec 2019Blackwater, QldWhile working in Central Queensland I was based at BMA Blackwater Mine. Tasked with meeting the engineering requirements for 3 operations within the region, as well as managing a tyre supply contract with an approximate yearly value of $10 million AUD. Working in Blackwater was my formal introduction into the mining maintenance industry, and I am incredibly grateful to have been given this opportunity with Otraco and Downer Mining. Whilst working on operations in Central QLD I was able to apply my problem solving and analytical skills, build lasting relationships with my colleagues, lead maintenance work crews, liaise with senior management and provide contract stakeholders with marked cost savings and performance increases.
