CurrentI am currently responsible for quantifying and improving the NVH performance of GKN’s electric drive units. This entails:• Root cause analysis • Utilising modal test methods to determine the vibratory response of structures and systems • Quantifying radiated sound power levels • Measuring structure borne vibration levels • Transfer path analysis • Minimising gear mesh and electric motor excitation levels • Hemi anechoic chamber testing• Subjective and objective vehicle testing• Vibration monitoring during durability testing• Correlation and improvement of simulation methodology• Treatment of structural responses• Development of test methodology and test standards• Monitoring production line NVH levels• Enhancing NVH relevant areas of production• Mentoring of student engineers• Reporting
