Southeast Enterprises is a sheltered workshop that provides a safe, clean work environment for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. My role, at Southeast is to prospect, maintain and grow clients for the workshop.

During my tenure with The Star I have held the following positions: Account Executive, New Business Account Executive, kansascity.com advocate, and Neighborhood News Supervisor. Additional corporate functions have included: United Way Campaign District Representative; Special Sections Coordinators for many different sections such as College Basketball, Football, and the Lewis and Clark Anniversary section. Additional time has been spent with Career Day Committee as a Mentor and Interviewer. Worked closely with Deb Calvert and Deb Clem to train new employees on several different aspects of Account Executive position for The Kansas City Star. Areas of specialization have included: Working in the political arena since 2000. In the past presidential elections I worked closely with the Missouri Press Service, the Springfield News-Leader, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Newspapers. During 2000 I collaborated with Russ Adams and Michelle Kelly to produce a presentation that we shaded with political candidates in Jefferson City, Missouri. This collaboration resulted in strong relationships with Mike Sell and Doug Crews at the Missouri Press Service and may politicians. Additional Duties included customer care, retention, and prospecting of potential clients. Client involvement included needs assessment, finding and developing solutions based on their needs, and implementing the programs. Programs included CO-OP advertising, inserts, retail and classified display advertising,

Operations ManagerDuties included the daily operations of a 14 Million-dollar retail operation. Customer Care and store operations involved personnel staffing requirements, Customer interaction from helping customers find and understand the variety of merchandise available. Working to create an enjoyable shopping experience from store maintenance, clean bathrooms, shinny floors, and a safe environment. Daily operations included hiring, training, retention, and firing of employees. Merchandise and inventory control from receiving merchandise daily, pricing, and displaying correctly and attractively. Loss-Prevention included inventory control, shoplifting prevention, creating a safe environment for employees and customers.
