Led a team of ten professionals in the Treasury, Tax and Risk Management functions identifying and implementing strategies that reduced the company’s after-tax cost of capital, lowered the company’s effective tax rate, and managing the risk return profile of the Company including capital structure, bank and investor relationship management, tax planning and compliance, treasury and tax accounting/Sarbanes-Oxley controls and compliance, pension and 401(k) plan administration and risk management.• Structured, negotiated and marketed:o $180 million, convertible bond offering to finance the Company’s long term investment plans and repurchase approximately 2.1 million shares of the Company’s stocko New unsecured five year, $460 million revolving credit agreement to finance the Company’s operations at historically low borrowing costso $150 million fixed rate direct private debt placement with an average term of 10 years. • Designed and implemented an in-house bank that enabled the Company to pool and invest its global cash, finance operating needs of various subsidiaries, and reduce its tax rate from 43% to less than 30%• Structured, executed and assisted with the negotiation of a $280 million international acquisition, the largest in the Company’s history• Partnered with the Company’s General Counsel on significant litigation resulting in a favorable decision for the Company and a savings of $20 million• Partnered with senior operating managers on strategic evaluations and initiatives, including a five year global restructuring that resulted in cost savings of more than $75 million
