Career to datePresently working with Energlaze as an Energy consultant. My primary role is to provide energy retrofits to domestic houses and that includes solar solutions. I advise home owners and sell solutions like external and internal insulation; windows & doors, energy efficient heating solutions, solar PV systems and heat pumps etc2021 part owner of EPD (Pty) Ltd an engineering production design company. My main role was to get business and set up the ISO 5001 QMS protocols. (In South Africa).2020-2021 Mitch’s Perfectly Original - developed a range of food products and supplied organic markets and supermarkets.2019 – 2020 I worked with Cape Patio Blinds selling, designing and installing outdoor blinds for the domestic and commercial markets.2018 - 2019 I sold eco-friendly products to laundries and recycling companies for Laser Chemicals.2006 – 2018 Laundry industry: For 3 years I ran my own commercial laundry. Then managed an industrial laundry and with the owner and partners set up a national franchise – I owned the Western Cape region. I project managed the laundries construction & grew the business in South Africa, Swaziland and Ghana.2005 -2006 On my return to South Africa worked for Bitwise Computer Systems to sell network and hardware solutions to businesses.2000 – 2005 LAN & desktop support, network engineer and Team Leader. I used my MCSE and CCNA to get contracts in Ireland including Shell Ireland HO before joining Getronics (for 3.5 years) in Dublin, managing their very busy Collect & Return dept. Dell pc's, Panasonic Toughbooks etc repairs under warranty. (Covered the whole island of Ireland.)1998 – 2000 Mr Mitchell’s Microbrewery cc. I brewed and supplied chemical-free beers to the greater Cape Town area.1996 - 1997 Sales. Worked as an agent selling a diverse range of products from outdoor sheds and homes to homemade natural olive oil soaps. 1994 – 1996 Filmair. Grips (including helicopter camera mounts) and camera equipment rentals. Would supply, fit and trouble shoot equipment in a very busy Cape Town movie industry.1993 – 1994 Scubaventure. I worked in the scuba shop and club. I sold courses and gear, supplying equipment and services for group dives and taking divers to shipwrecks and other interesting dives.1988 – 1993 Exploration Geology. Did exploration work (geochemical and geophysical surveys mainly) for Goldfields of SA. 1986 - 1988 Paramedic in the military. (Conscription)1986 Ran a dairy and worked at Umzimkulu sugarmill as an assistant fitter.
