David Mitchell has been professionally training horses for close to eleven years. Over the years, David has dedicated himself to the natural horsemanship principles that are so important to the horse and rider alike. There's no need to force, beat or whip your horse to get him to perform with you. Your horse should want to spend time with you to work with you as a partner. David believes in hard work, honesty and clear communication when developing a good relationship with a horse. David and his trainers work with each horse in training five days a week, by starting with them in the arena and then on to the trails! You are more than welcome to stop and ask any of them questions any time you like! Our job is to bring the horse and rider together to the point where they are at the same level when they return home! David believes in getting what you pay for.Trugon Ranch is a member of the Whitewright Chamber of Commerce. Our mission statement is simple: Treat your horse with respect and integrity and he will do the same for you. If you are wanting to learn how to do your own horse training or basic colt starting, David would like to invite you to come out and have fun learning how to begin your own horse training and colt starting education! We know that most horse trainers are not interested in teaching owners how to do their own horse training, but here at Trugon Ranch, we feel that it is very important for the owner to be involved with as many horse training sessions as they desire to attend where they can learn the basics of horse training using Love,Language and Leadership in equal doses. Since David has employed these natural horsemanship principles each and every horse that has went through his training program has turned out ten times better than the old forceful colt starting way.
