About David Mitchell, Phd
I am a Senior Consultant at ThinkTek, where I conduct research and data analysis in support of a Federal Government client. I also serve in the US Army Reserve as a 38G/P8 (Public Administration) Civil Affairs Officer with the 418th CA BN.My research interests are far-reaching, but much of my work has focused on economic development and comparative analysis. Select projects I have led include: mapping NGO activity in Afghanistan for UN OCHA, Cisco's Digital Readiness Index (DRI), and NGO social impact measurement/assurance on behalf of a corporate foundation. Links to my published work can be found below.My educational background consists of a PhD in Security Studies from Kansas State University (2016) and an MS in Public Policy from George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government (2010). A native of the DC-area, I now reside in Kansas City with my wife and our twin daughters.
