CurrentMy work here at Esri provides me with the unique opportunity to work with customers in several different industries due to the cross-industry capabilities of IoT and indoor GIS. In short, I get to show my customers how the integration of IoT, Indoor GIS and other business systems, through the lens of Geography, can greatly enhance their situational awareness, help them discover trends, and help them optimize their daily operations and workflows and therefore become more proactive and efficient.This has brought me to show our customers how to incorporate real-time IoT data feeds, analytics and Indoor GIS into critical workflows such as Public Safety where we can show the location of a 911 caller inside a building and provide first responders with the optimal path to follow from the parking lot to the caller within the building. Another example is when I get to show how IoT devices such as room occupancy sensors can be used not only by building owners to optimize office space usage but also by first responders in an emergency to enhance situational awareness. One last example is when I get to show how ArcGIS as a whole can be used as a powerful integration platform to optimize daily operations such as monitoring sensor feeds in a vehicle or building to detect when preventative maintenance is due and automatically create a series of work orders within an asset management system such as Cityworks and then assign the work order to closest available maintenance crew.Please feel free to reach out to me to discuss how my team and I can help you.
