Overview: In the context of a new HR operating model, established and led a team responsible for providing expert consulting to the organisation, in the fields of Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits and Recruitment in the EMEAC region.Principle accomplishments:• Established the basis of customer focussed high performing team:o Process and output metricso Established purpose and objectiveso Established Client relationships and clarified service expectations• Recruited and developed with a new broader geographic and company perspective, a high performing team of leaders recognised as having high potential for growth. 5 of 7 direct reports successfully moved onto to more senior roles.• Gained acceptance of active role of regionally based teams in the design of Global programmes.• Continued, as an individual with experience, to support Site divestiture programmes in region, including Pakistan and Spain.

Overview: Senior HR role for manufacturing in this region (c 3,000 people); 10 HR professionals for 10 sites in Western Europe, South Africa & Pakistan, reported to this position - for professional and strategic leadership. Provided HR consultant role to the VP of Manufacturing Operations in EMEA (and his senior staff), also the regional heads of Quality, Tech Ops, etc.Principle Accomplishments:• Developed a customer focussed and business aligned team of 10 HR professionals truly valued by their clients: by 2006 all of my HR Directors/ managers had superior and in 4 cases extraordinary ratings from their clients.• Developed international community of practice supporting the manufacturing operations across 8 countries – sharing both best practice and to a lesser extent resources.• Managed the sale of UK Chemical site (1st site sale or closure in EMEA for 12 years) and significant downsizing in every other site -typically 15-18% 2005-'07- without employee relations issues. • Team Managed lean organisational re-design/ transformation as part of downsizing.• Developed Change Management Consulting Capability which was key enabler of lean organisational transformation (2005-present).• Talent management: created a framework for a regional approach to the development of high potential people, particularly for the purposes of succession planning – from 2000 to 2006 all but 2 of the 10 plant directors changed without disruption to the business.
