My role was as a Building Surveyor in a specialist Building Consultancy Department, including all aspects of acquisition, generation, occupation, regeneration and disposal of commercial property. The majority of projects undertaken by myself included the acquisition, design, occupation and regeneration of commercial space; encompassing design, procurement, project management (design & construction teams), contract administration, cost consultancy and client aftercare services. The majority of projects undertaken by myself included the acquisition, design, occupation and regeneration of commercial space; encompassing design, procurement, project management (design & construction teams), contract administration, cost consultancy and client aftercare services. All statutory obligations required by the relevant Local Authority and Health & Safety Authorities were also overseen in my role. I have also undertaken the role of acting as a Development Monitor for various funding institutions on many large scale development sites within Ireland (Bankcentre & Point Village to name just two). This role encompassed regular inspection of ongoing projects, while advising and reporting to our clients upon; land & property acquisition matters, statutory consents, competency of the development/construction team and proposed project management systems, financial appraisals, construction costs and programmes, design & construction quality and evaluation of development, consultancy and construction agreements (i.e. contractual).I have also undertaken property inspections and reported on schedules of condition, dilapidations reporting and negotiations and general building surveys.
