Responsibilities:In my current role as Purchasing Manager: -Prepare and execute purchase orders for all extrusions and small parts for the company (average purchases made within a year is over $2,500,000) -Secure the best vendors for partnership based on price, quality, lead time, dependability, support, and other factors -Handle the costing, processing, and maintenance of a database of over 400,000 specially purchased or manufactured items for sales department -Use sales history and sales department feedback as a guide for what, when, and how much to order of hundreds of standard stock parts -Make final calls on material rejected due to quality, dimensional tolerance, or finish concerns by the inspection department -Work with suppliers to resolve invoice, damaged goods, ship date, and all other issues -Assure proper accounts are charged for purchased materials, and work with accounting to reconcile discrepancies -Determine the most appropriate plan of action for common time critical orders, arrange, and coordinate needed logistics -Negotiate with vendors in efforts to reduce costs while maintaining product quality, delivery, and service expectations -Reduce overall purchased goods inventory levels by negotiating lower MOQ's with primary extrusion supplier while maintaining the same pricing -Deliver and pick up extrusions and other items from vendors as necessary In my current role as Export Sales Manager: -Market and sell building products through e-mail, cold calling, internet and magazine advertising, and international exhibitions -Handle all export related paperwork and logistical issues -Quote pricing and terms with customers and prospects -Build, develop, and foster relationships and provide substantial in-house support for key accounts-Perform typical customer service type duties for all export customers such as designing/drawing canopies and rooms, and processing quotes and orders
