David joined Harmelin in 2002. David is responsible for developing and executing media plans in Spot TV, cable TV, and radio. This includes negotiating costs, positioning, added value, and post buy analysis for spot TV. It also includes investigating both qualitative and quantitative research including MRI, Scarborough, Arbitron, and Nielsen. David believes that media is about more then low cost per points. It’s about finding environments that are synergistic with the client’s brand. It’s about the ability to leverage dollars and create events where you can reach the consumer on an emotional level.For the past 25 years, David has been involved in all facets of the business, i.e. planning, buying, negotiating sports sponsorships, and steering clients through major promotional events. David buys on behalf of Harmelin Media’s clients, which include: Turkey Hill Ice Cream, America’s Best Contacts, BET (Black Entertainment Television), Regions Bank, Blue Diamond Almonds & Scotties Facial Tissues.Prior to joining Harmelin Media, David worked for seven years as a Media Buyer for Arnold Communications (MPG) in Boston, where he worked on such accounts as Volkswagen, McDonalds, Fidelity Investments, and MOTT (Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism).
