Hi, I'm David. Today I'm the Co-Founder and CEO of OwlHub, Inc., #1 Podcast Host, Executive Coach, Leadership Trainer, Professor, and Improv Comedy Performer. However, 25 years ago, it was different.I’d just left the CEO’s office with a feeling of dread. I got it. My first promotion. Head of professional development at a 200-person startup – at age 20. The dread? I didn’t actually know how to lead! With inspiration and desperation, I trained intensively in executive coaching and leadership.At one point, a CEO client said: “Want to try coaching the 60 employees of my tech startup for 90 days?” Three months later: Job satisfaction was up 56%, employee confidence up 74%, and performing at their best jumped 84%. Seven years later, we grew from a $35M valuation to now $3.5B!My wife and I decided to create OwlHub with the mission to creating research-backed, leadership development programs to empower professionals and move the world towards equity in leadership. We wanted to create a new kind of company – one that not only obsesses about getting results for our clients, but also obsesses about making this world a more fair and equitable place for all. To do it, we formed a public benefit corporation (imagine a non-profit and for-profit had a baby!) that enables us to pursue social causes equally – literally written into our founding documents – so that as we grow, the social good we do grows as much or more.
