This involved delivering justifcation for a new £500k/pa investment in Commercial Services, recrutiment and management of a team of 11 staff and delivery of a fresh approach to contract and supplier relationship management at the Council.

Following a restructure of the Corporate Procurement Team in addition to my previous role on Responsible Procurement I supported the People Category Team on operational procurement. I was also the Council lead on the implementation of the changes to the EU Procurement Directive.

I led on Responsible Procurement for Cornwall Council.For Cornwall Council, responsible procurement means pioneering socially, environmentally and economically responsible procurement to deliver improved quality of life and better value for money for our people, our businesses and our County.
