It’s Amazing. -David MosleyHave you ever watched or viewed a webcast, video, or other type of media and wondered how long does it take to put it together? Perhaps you became so engrossed with the content, or the host made it look so easy that you assumed that the process is fairly simple. What if I shared that there is a “process” to delivering entertaining webcasts, podcasts, or other digital media?That’s where I step in. As a production manager it is my role to ensure that all of the moving parts of the “video” comes together to be delivered to our audiences. My role juggles many hats, including conceptualization or creating content, develop delivery schedules, collaborating with multi-level teams (depending on the size of the operation) to promote it, film it, procure vendors for proper lighting, site locations, researching guests or topics, sourcing talent, taking care of logistics, managing expenses, and the list goes on. Then there is reviewing analytics to measure our performance, understanding our audience, making updates to our content to appeal to a wider audience. Fortunately, production managers, producers usually follow an established process to make sure everything goes smoothly. After sixteen years of managing diverse media production, I have had the opportunity to develop, deliver, and manage phenomenal media productions appealing to diverse audiences. A few of my most notable career accomplishments include:  Slashed process inefficiencies and eliminated workflow gaps by restructuring the webcast production process, increasing efficiency by 25%. Achieved incremental cost savings and streamlined processes by establishing multiple webcast model templates expediting the sales and marketing teams’ go-to-market process.  In collaboration with marketing partners, designed promo ads and changed pricing and rate cards for specific services increasing potential profitability by 20%.
