Reticle, Inc. is a small business consulting company based in Chicago. With Reticle, I am focused on using my work experience and education to help businesses look at their operations with a view to scalable growth.Reticle is currently working with Rand McNally on new product development in the consumer electronics space. Previously Reticle worked with two small businesses in the Illinois Valley, helping both with start-up, the challenges of implementing new processes and continuous improvement, and the development of new products and exploration of new markets.

I was responsible for the management of the DriverConnect web portal as well as the launch and management of the DriverConnect Asset Tracker product line. I also contributed to the management of the DriverConnect platform as a whole and other mobile apps in the Rand McNally suite, including GPS navigation.

I was responsible for leading the product management department to oversee the performance of FireKing's smart-safe products through production, installation, and lifecycle. To achieve this, I led a remote team of product managers. We engaged with internal customers, such as engineering and sales. We also worked with external customers, from the front lines to corporate decision makers, to collect and analyzes product performance data, customer feedback, and engineering recommendations. From this, we determined what new product requirements, features, and improvements to add to our products.

I represented the product development department as a liaison to sales, engineering, production, and operations to determine and drive our development roadmap. I had the responsibility to manage the product development roadmap to ensure projects are delivered on time, met expectations, and provided high-quality work. I also assumed the management of new documentation and training activities.

I collaborated with the engineering, operations, sales, and service departments to establish, report, and manage key performance indicators and quality metrics. Defined, communicated, and launched market strategies that ensured unfailing product quality. Worked closely with customers and sales/service teams to regulate the product-enhancement process and integrate client requests. Monitored ongoing market acceptance of the product line and provided competitive industry intelligence. Oversaw and assured the company’s ability to produce and support all products by managing its organizational readiness efforts—creating and providing necessary training, materials, and information to facilitate smoother product rollouts.

My responsibilities included leading a geographically dispersed cross-functional engineering team as well as outsourced development and QA resources. My team helped to set product direction and priorities based on face to face customer interaction and knowledge of product history. During my time as director of engineering for the Corporate Safe brand of products, we followed Agile software development principles to continually update the UX of our touch screen based smart-safe products. My team was also responsible for electro-mechanical product design, helping guide new product designs from prototype production. In this role, I also helped to manage an overseas supply chain, traveling to South Korea and China to work with vendors.

My responsibilities included mechanical product design, prototype building, and testing of smart safe products.

Rockwell Automation sold it's Power Systems division to Baldor Electric in February of 2007. My responsibilities and territory with Baldor remained the same as previous with Rockwell.

While working as a Sales Engineer, I was responsible for a $3.5 million sales territory managing OEMs and distributors. My responsibilities included technical and design support for customers as well as sales, marketing, and service of Rockwell Power Transmission Components. I represented the brands of Dodge Mechanical and Reliance Electric.
