I spend three days a week as an apprentice software developer with Nationwide. I primarily work within Amazon Web Services (AWS) to create an enterprise Alexa skill. This skill is written in node.js using an AWS Lambda function to house it's code. Due to this skill being Nationwide IP I cannot go in to details about what it does exactly as it is not production software and I cannot share the code online. The apprenticeship is part of Columbus State, it just so happens to be that I was a full-time employee at Nationwide before this apprenticeship.

Full stack remote software developer. Primary focus on frontend single page application (SPA) using modern Angular tech. Experience building and maintaining backend java frameworks and general database management. I've successfully and punctually delivered dozens of projects over the years working closely with many different individuals across different businesses and different build/run lines. I have been pulled into high priority efforts several times now whenever there is a project that needs to get done quickly with quality in mind. I am a driven learner and improve myself throughout the year either through formal schooling (I finished my associates degree as a developer, also attend classes on new tech) in addition to my general interest in the tech related to my field. I've begun to integrate AI into my set of tools with Github Copilot. I also like to keep an eye on and help maintain any of our build pipelines, these responsibilities include the organization and release of new products and code to production. I am an experienced teacher when it comes to new developer intake and I always pair with new developers to help them understand what kind of tech we work with and how to work with it. I look forward to continued growth and opportunity in my field and I'm interested in any remote work available.
