Re-appointed to Cummins and charged to establish a shared service organisation for the UK and European businesses of Cummins. Achievements included:- Establishment of CBS Europe from initial team of 6 to an organisation of over 100, the role included leading site selection, recruitment, and organisational development - Reporting to VP CBS (in US) leadership of all CBS operations including:o Transactional Finance (AR,AP,GL)o HR services o Systems development & supporto Indirect Purchasingo Facilities, Travel and expenses management- Leading migration program to low cost shared service environment (utilising Oracle GL,AP,AR & HR modules) to bring all UK operating units into shared service. From 2002 scope expanded to include Belgium and France- Realised circa $3m p.a. of savings in each year through leveraged expenditure and cost reduction- Operational excellence demonstrated by:o Consistent adherence to month end reporting timetableso Significant working capital improvements notably through effective credit managemento Establishment of enhanced controls and compliance procedures through structured and documented approach- Strong customer orientation, established Service Level Agreements, scorecards and surveys- Leading implementation of Corporate Vision and Mission, champion for Code of Conduct & Diversity leader.- Leadership of external audit liaison- Motivation .. In 2002 Employee Survey CBS achieved highest scores of Cummins 28000 employees for “recommending my workplace as a good place to work” & “my departmental goals are well communicated”
