The Practice Peer Support program connects members in practice and sole practitioners with each other in a virtual, non-competitive environment to share experiences, knowledge and insights in a small group mentoring setting. As a volunteer Mentor I facilitate the peer group discussion and give back to the community by making a difference to the next generation of CAs.

I engage with an extensive network of trusted professional advisors covering a wide range of sectors.I enjoy collaborating with leaders to design executable strategies which enable them to ensure alignment of the organisation to its purpose and vision to be realised. As a board member and mentor, I act as a sounding board and encourager I work to support the development of helpful rhythms, generation of "wins", increased momentum and achievement of purposeful progress. As a member of the senior leadership team my role was to to enable the strategic growth ambitions of the group. I led (with the Group CFO) all aspects of acquisitions including feasibility, negotiation, due-diligence, documentation, funding, settlement and integration.I led transformation teams to improve finance systems and processes to enable strategic growth.

Multi-Unit Retail Business - RestaurantsI was a member of the senior leadership team. I led a high calibre team of 30+ people and had full oversight responsibility for Finance, Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, Company Secretarial, Treasury, Governance and Risk Management. The transformation of the group included many transactions including debt and equity funding (IPO) and I was a lead contributor in these projects.

Pre-IPO Craft Beer Manufacturer and Distributor. 79th on the Inc 500 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America 1994.I was a member of the management team and developed the finance and accounting function from inception to a fully functioning department across two offices (California and Minnesota) in a two-year period. I developed all reporting necessary to enable listing on NASDAQ.

I gained extensive experience in the High Technology Manufacturing, Commercial Construction, Software Development and Venture Capital industries.

Audit Supervisor gaining experience in Mining, Manufacturing, Rural and Automotive industries. I commenced as an Audit Associate, progressed to Senior Associate in 1988 and then to a Supervisor in 1989. Selected from several candidates to undertake a transfer to the USA.
