My working background is primarily in Warehousing, Procurement and People Management within Retail, the Third Sector and the AV Industry. I’ve most recently worked at a high-end residential install company as 'Warehouse & Procurement Manager'. Over the years I have picked up many useful skills and had the opportunity to refine these, particularly in the areas of inventory management, warehousing standards, and project management.Due to my career path, I am able to confidently say I have over 8 years in warehouse management experience and 5 years in procurement manager experience. During this time I have learned how to work with managers and teams to help them stay within set budgets (project based and departmental based), maintain standards in both external requirements and those aligned with company values and improve the effectiveness work flow processes. With the fasted pace nature of AV warehouse work and quick turn around between productions/projects, it has taught me how to work flexibly, efficiently and under pressure. My day to day can change at any moment but I am able to quickly adapt and continue working effectively. I have been enabled my upper management to implement beneficial changes that helped improve the work flows of these companies. From introducing a new barcode system, allowing a more efficient way to assign assets to jobs and well as speeding up the booking in and out process, to take the lead on internal company projects, that researched and implemented new company wide systems for stock management and project/procurement management. I also have experience in working with internal teams and external suppliers to research and procure any new or updated product/ service that greatly benefits the company moving forward. This includes products for projects/ services provided by the company, as well as any internally used equipment or softwares.
