Managed all aspects of ~ 15 Million dollar account to the largest global off-highway equipment manufacture, Caterpillar. Negotiated contracts, pricing, and warranty claims. Sales were driven by engineered focused solutions, quality, delivery and response times to customer needs.Built and nurtured supply chain to gain the most benefit for suppliers, SKF, and the customer having all parties committed to the others’ success. Leveraged relationships with customer engineering, purchasing and management to be involved in solutions to gain additional embedded strategic sales. Managed all aspects of business from APQP process, customer order, PPAP, to shipment for new part numbers. Oversaw delivery of large projects scheduling MRP, tooling, production, quality, warehousing, packaging and shipping to insure processes were in place to exceed customer demand and expectations. Developed and updated processes using 6 Sigma projects and tools and corrective action systems as needed to prevent failure or respond to customer rejections, complaints or observations. Planned and executed NBO start-up of manufacturing facility to support new account. Design all production processes and necessary documentation with engineering to meet requirements of ISO certifications and environmental impact controls for hazardous materials. Managed Engineering and Quality programs by design to meet internal and customer manufacturing prints and specifications.Managed 50 plus production staff on 24/7 operation to meet stated goals for production output while maintaining cost structure. Designed and implemented training programs to rapidly release production technicians into independent productive work force. Achieved quality standards required by Automotive PPAP standard of 1.33 CpK minimum process consistency achieving customer rejection rate of less than 0.1% while maintaining on-time delivery of > 98%.
