David Newman is a highly commercial, innovative and success driven individual. He is also an entrepreneur with a strong electronic, electro-mechanical, automotive and heavy engineering background. Following 10 years of military service operating throughout the world, David spent the next 10 learning the commercial realities of international business by apprenticing himself to the most successful business owners and companies he could find. During this time he was tasked across a broad range of industries including, leisure, entertainment, automotive, telecoms, advertising and IT. His corporate roles have included: Project Management, New Business Procurement, Financial Restructuring, Technical Creation and Support, IT Creation and Delivery, Training Delivery and Change Management.In March 2001, David set up Transglobal Network Services, the first Bandwidth leasing company to offer international fibre capacity with point-to-point pricing, on on a pay monthly basis. David successfully exited the company in 2003 after building annual revenues to $27m.In 2010 together with TGNS colleague Mark Gilmore, he set up Viridis Navitas Capital Partners (VN-CP) specifically to address the gap between 'Bleeding-Edge' Hard-Tech solutions and investment capital. The goal was to build a team to that included some of the brightest Scientists and Engineers in the UK and create Unicorn Opportunities. To-date VN-CP have raised $3.6m, invested it in 4-Bleeding Edge Technologies, taking them to a collective valuation of $57m.The Unique VN-CP Business Model Delivers: De Risked & Pre Commercialisation Investment Opportunities within multi - billion $ markets.
