I am currently a PhD student in Water Resources Engineering at the University of Guelph (UoG), with a research focus on sediment transport and morphological developments in river systems. My focus is on river erosion and how river development may respond to changes in the river geometry or local hydraulics as a result of anthropological activities or adjustments. My current research builds on my experiences from my MASc research on laboratory modelling of morphological developments in river systems. I have also done research with Environment and Climate Canada relating to sediment mobility, modeling water quality in the Greater Toronto Area, assessing the efficacy of stormwater grit-separator technologies, and improving the hydraulics of particle removal technologies. I have also conducted research in basement flooding mitigation by studying velocity fields in a backwater valve at the University of Guelph.I am a strong team player who is always excited to explore new ideas to constantly push the boundaries of scientific knowledge and promote better informed decisions for the long-term sustainable use of water resources. I am also passionate as an educator and I strive to inspire students to do their best work as well as continuously grow as future leaders in science and engineering.
