I design and support various tooling for data pipelines and integrations at the university. We run our own kafka cluster that acts as our main integration service for vendors. We've also been moving many integrations to cloud services such as Boomi, Azure, AWS, etc. We interact with varying data sources and provide customers, internally or externally, with the resources to do their job more effectively. e.g we might extract JSON data from a vendor minutely and then move it to a rational table structure on-prem for ease of querying or create a new API for someone to extract data from. - Designs, builds, implements, and maintains data products using data extraction, transformation, and loading to connect large data sets from a variety of source- Utilizes integration platforms, such as Kafka or Boomi, to build and manage data integrations- Develops, maintains, and uses tooling to verify the health and accuracy of data and data pipelines- Work with data providers and users to determine requirements, constraints, and expectations of delivered data- Maintains data documentation to ensure that data is discoverable by all ASR staff- Designs, builds, implements, maintains, and uses data infrastructure solutions such as APIs, Database tables, Data lakes and data warehouses-Prepare and manipulate data using tools, language, data processing frameworks and databasesA sampling of what we do:We mostly run rails scenic views for much of our database building, within an Oracle environment. DMBS scheduler, create view, mviews, synonyms, etc. We typically utilize oracle DMBS scheduler for our refresh cycle. We also run and maintain our own instance of on premise kafka. Though we also may use Boomi, Azure Databricks, etc for various integrations.Both Github enterprise on-prem and cloud, store our many repositories - 39 housed by Data Engineering and another 144 by our custom application development team which we work very closely and may overlap development with.

Answering questions pertaining to account balance, claim status, denial reasons, insurance eligibility, eligible expenses, website assistance, debit card assistance and more. Used Oracle systems, ISET, EV1, VCC, Macros, HOV, SharePoint and iDARS. Very structured work format: Log in at a certain time, two breaks at a pre-set time for exactly 15 minutes, Lunch at a pre-set time for exactly 30 minutes. With 30 minutes of personal time per month. Need to stay above 95% adherence to this schedule. Stayed around 98%. Survey option at the end of all calls.
