In 2006 I had the opportunity to become a self-employed Finance director and management consultant. I provide high level accounting services to a portfolio of clients who do not require a full time Finance Director. I have a mixture of on-going and one-off assignments producing:-• Cash flow forecasting• Budgets• Modelling and reports for bank lending• Process implementation within businesses• Monthly management accounts• Procurement assignments• General advice and support• Parabis Group remained a client for 3 years and I still work for the ex-MD of the group within his other business interests.Over the past 7 years I have worked with a number of firms of solicitors and professional service firms (surveyors and architects) including being part time FD for an £8m t/o firm for 5.5 years. Experience is not restricted to professional service firms and e.g. currently work with a £6m t/o Country House Hotel, a £20m t/o importer of rugs and mats, a £15m t/o lift business and a £5m meat wholesaler. I have also just finished an assignment for an international software and publishing house as a business analyst for a new product they are bringing to market.
