Provide engineering Headquarters oversight and direction on behalf of the Nimrod Force headquarters. Ensuring Haddon-Cave Board of Inquiry recommendations were implemented on the Nimrod MR2 and the ill-fated Nimrod MRA4 introduction into service.

Selected due to first line experience and Continuous Improvement credentials to Project Manage transition of failing Tornado aircraft second line maintenance facility. Lead a successful restructuring project delivering a 100% output improvement, recovery of 17 long term unserviceable aircraft to the Tornado fleet and time critical delivery of the first 8 aircraft to deploy on operations in Afghanistan.Awarded Air Officer Commanding No1 Gp Commendation in 2010 New Years Honours List for Inspirational Leadership and Change Management.

Raf Lossiemouth

Lead Quality Assurance Team assuring the station Chief Air Engineer of compliance with engineering standards and practices in support of 4 Tornado squadrons and large second line maintenance facilities. Also lead and assisted in facilitation of Continuous Improvement Events (utilising LEAN principles) enabling change activity at RAF Lossiemouth.

Responsible for shift of 120 multi trade aircraft technicians in support of first line Tornado flying operations. Engineering lead on 3 deployments of between 40 and 70 personnel and up to 5 aircraft, including live weapon sorties. This included 7 week deployment to UAE as part of a multi-national exercise. Held first line airworthiness delegation for Tornado aircraft throughout this period.
