Supervising a crew in a metal fabrication department building rafters, structural components and parts for agricultural fabric covered Hoop buildings. We bent, drilled, punched and fabricated parts for the production of buildings. We also worked with engineering to make and draw parts for new structures. My department was instrumental in the production of parts for the Dyersville Clearspan building, a structure over 800 feet long and used today for production and shipping of Farmtek and Clearspan products..

Tredegar manufactures film for diaper backsheet and other disposable products with extrusion and co-extrusion. We also made Ultramask for General Electric to use as a protective film on their Lexan sheet and backsheet for Always feminine hygiene products.I handled day to day operations in the plant and was the first line of defense against scrap and lost production time. Also traveled to Proctor and Gamble and General Electric to handle product issues.As a process analyst I was constantly looking to improve the process and products and kept running conditions recorded and consistant from shift to shift. I was also directly involved when Tredegar became I.S.O. 9000 compliant. Working with the Operators to write procedures for all aspects of production of complex plastics. Interviewing applicants for employment and scheduling for machines was also part the job.I was on a team aiding with machine startups in Pottsville Pa. and also The plant in Budapest Hungary. I also worked closely with R&D to create new products and run trials for potential customers.
