* Provide analysis and assessment on Russian state-orchestrated information activities which present a threat to Ukraine, the UK and Canada’s strategic interests, as well as identifying and mitigating these threats drawing on open-source material, government and third-party research, and secret intelligence, to inform UK Government responses to information threats.* Write clear, timely, and accessible insight products to support the development of responses by FCDO, its partners across HMG, and international partners.* Actively contribute to the development of corporate knowledge around Russian information activities and representing the unit’s assessments in relevant cross-Whitehall meetings and international forums.* Work with UK and international partners (HMG Departments, NATO, etc.) to ensure joint objectives are met and to secure operational collaboration. * Facilitate information sharing among like-minded countries in efforts to enhance situational awareness on issues surrounding Russian aggression in Ukraine.

* Monitor open-source and classified reporting for political, threat and security-related developments affecting Mission security, operations, and Canadian foreign policy;* Enhance mission security by producing Threat Assessments on Mission personnel, assets and information for Embassy staff and senior officials based on intelligence analysis;* Provides intelligence driven analysis, assessments and briefs on key international security issues and threats for senior executive and management;* Provide intelligence products daily to Heads of Mission, Deputy Heads of Mission, Mission Security officers, GSRPs, and political officers drawing on knowledge and understanding on the Mission’s and client’s needs and priorities;* Represent the Threat Assessment and Intelligence Services Division, and Canada, to various elements of the Five Eye and broader intelligence community during domestic visits as well as on numerous visits to Canadian Missions in Europe, Asia, South America, the United States (CIA, US State Dept., JTAC, MI5, British Metropolitan Police, Cabinet Office), and on a special NATO assignment in Afghanistan;* Represent the Threat Assessment and Intelligence Services Division as leader of a multi-departmental Canadian Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC) on Operation Syrian Refugee (OSR) in 2015-2016 and prepared daily reports and briefings;* Develop and maintain a network of domestic and international contacts (e.g. PCO, ITAC, CSIS, DND, UK, US and other allies) on issues of mutual importance to international security;

* Developed and advanced Canadian foreign policy with respect to Canada's membership and participation in international Conventional Weapons treaties (e.g. Ottawa Convention on Anti-personnel landmines, UN Convention on Conventional Weapons).* Provided policy analysis and strategic advice on Canada’s position to the UN Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW)* Collaborated with like-minded states to achieve common policy positions on disarmament issues* Administering anti-personnel landmine programs (over $2 million) in mine affected countries in the Americas.

* Develop and advance Canadian foreign policy regarding Human Rights with respect to internationa conventions, laws, and norms.
